The Irish Online Giving Foundation is a registered charity in Ireland (Reg. No. 20100872) dedicated to improving the connection between donors and charitable organisations registered with the Revenue Commissioners and/or the Charities Regulator in Ireland.

 

 

The Trustees

Roger Acton

Roger is currently Head of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in Ireland, a position he has held since October 2015. He was previously a strategic business adviser working with people in leadership positions in the public, private and non-profit sectors and prior to that spent 14 years with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) first as Head of ACCA Ireland and later as Head of Central & Eastern Europe before becoming Regional Director of Europe and the Americas.

Roger has extensive experience of the non-profit sector having been Chief Executive of the Disability Federation of Ireland (DFI) from 1988 to 1999 during which time he served on many voluntary boards in Ireland and in Brussels. In addition, Roger was a member of the National Economic & Social Forum as well as being a member of the European Disability Forum in the European Commission. Roger continued to be involved with the voluntary sector when he left DFI. In 2004 he co-founded Boardmatch Ireland, a new voluntary organisation established to promote and actively improve the governance of the voluntary sector. He is currently chairman of the Tivoli Training Centre.

Tom Hogan

Tom is a retired Management Consultant. He is a former Chief Executive of Ability West, an intellectual disability service provider. He is a former Chairman of the Board of Disability Federation of Ireland. He is also a former Chairman of the Board of the National Federation of Voluntary Bodies and is also currently a Trustee of their pension scheme. He is Chairman of the Brothers of Charity Galway Services Human Rights Committee. He is Treasurer of Galway Lions Club.

Benjamin Janes

Benjamin has worked with charities and companies supporting charitable activities since 1991. He has been Head of Fundraising for a range of organisations in the UK including WellChild, FARM-Africa and MISSING. He works as a consultant advising companies on Corporate Social Responsibility, helping them to establish tax effective mechanisms to support and influence society.  He is currently a Member of the Advisory Board for the Christian think tank Theos and is a Director of The Trust Partnership Ltd that manages 30 charitable foundations in the UK.
